Grounding Shoes

Being barefoot is the simplest way to connect your body to the earth. But sometimes, it’s not practical. The ground’s too cold, the path too rough, or you just need to wear something.

The Earth Runners Sandals are my go-to footwear. They have a copper plug and conductive laces that allow electrons to flow from the gound into your body. My preference is the Circadian Sandal. It's a great balance - thin enough to still feel the ground, but thick enough to protect your feet. They’re durable, comfortable once broken in, and they have plenty of colours to suit your style.

Transitioning Gently

If you’re new to barefoot-style footwear, take your time. When I first started, the strap between my toes felt quite sore. I wore them around the house with toe socks until my feet adjusted, and within a week or two, they felt natural. I recommend starting with 30 minutes a day indoors or outside. Gradually build up as your feet strengthen and your gait adapts.

In Winter

Through summer, these are the only shoes I wear. I still prefer to be barefoot whenever I can, but for cooler months, I’m still searching for a grounded, barefoot-style shoe that feels right. When I find one that’s practical, durable, and genuinely conductive - I’ll share it here.
